Pick your own squash and pumpkins
For cooking or for Halloween, in Sainte-Angèle-de-Monnoir, Quebec.

Choosing your pumpkin in the field
Pumpkins and squash are chosen right in the field. Squash, in more than six varieties, arrives in early September. Pumpkins, from very large to small and decorative, are here all through October.
It's also a good time to walk the corn maze and have a picnic at the farm.
Choosing and storing
Pick a pumpkin with even colour, no soft spots and its stem attached: it will keep longer.
Store squash and pumpkins somewhere cool and dry, away from frost. A carved pumpkin only keeps a few days.
A family fall outing
Corn maze, picnic area and free parking: everything for an afternoon at the farm.
